Around ninety-nine percent of the wallcoverings used in Japan are made from vinyl or other plastics.
Tomita has spent nearly a century making wallcoverings from materials that ask less of the environment. Bringing that experience together with the remarkable skill of textile mills, and with traditional hand-weaving, we created a woven collection suited to the present day.
Ori is woven with care from natural materials such as linen, raffia and abaca. It is kind both to the people who live with it and to the world around them.
