Two faces of washi
Kamigoromo recalls the paper clothing worn in Japan since the Heian period. Its vertical creases make a room feel taller and wider. Tenku is a rustic washi drawn with fine, shimmering streaks, like a sky that never ends.

Leaf that holds the light
Gekka lays flaked leaf and leaf dust across the paper; each shines differently, yet they overlap like moonlight falling from the sky. Nanasaichirashi is brass leaf smoked over sulphur into foils of many colours, then sprinkled across the paper: a deep shine under even the faintest light.

Two linens, woven slowly
TRI-5520 lays more than 1,200 linen warp threads over a coloured paper; the knots and slubs particular to linen catch the light softly. TRI-5530 is linen in both warp and weft, from France, Belgium and Bangladesh, woven at a specialist linen mill in Kyoto.
